About

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2009, I studied Psychology at Leiden University where in 2014 I obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. I interned full-time for a year at PsyQ The Hague’s Centre for Personality Problems, after which I worked as a psychologist for an independent psychotherapy practice in Delft for another year.

In 2015, instead of continuing work in the mental health sphere, I pursued a career in written media and I’ve been a full-time editor for the largest Dutch weblog GeenStijl ever since. Strangely, it was only during this period, starting in early 2017, that my real study into the nature and alleviation of suffering truly began.

In 2021 I slowly started reorienting myself to see if there was a way for me to combine writing and therapy. I opened this online practice in the autumn of 2022.
